Death and Taxes, God and Caesar
I almost lost track, today is April 15th, tax day in the U.S. Which brings to mind these two famous quotes:
“In this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes.” – Benjamin Franklin Quote
“Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s.” – Matthew 22:21 KJV
So, today is the day we render unto “Caesar” (or give unto our presidents) by paying our taxes. And the day we die is the day we ultimately render unto God what is His. Of these two things we can be sure.

Pray as if You Were to Die Tomorrow
Here’s a good quote that puts perspective on how we should live and pray.
Work as if you were to live a hundred years, pray as if you were to die tomorrow.
I wonder who knows who said this, and whether or not they said it in the Bible or not.
