A Rose By Any Other Name Quote

In William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, Juliet is quoted as saying:

“A rose by any other name would smell as sweet”. – Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet

I wonder if Bible or Not by any other name would be as much fun? What if we called it “The Word of God, or Is It”? How about “Biblical Quotes or Otherwise”? What about other languages? Ahhh, that could be fun… OK, here is “Bible or Not” in a variety of languages.

• Biblia o no – Bible or Not in Spanish

• Bijbel of niet – Bible or Not in Dutch

• Bible ou pas -  Bible or Not in French

• Bibel oder nicht – Bible or Not in German

• Βίβλος ή όχι – Bible or Not in Greek

• Bibbia oppure no – Bible or Not in Italian

• 聖書またはない – Bible or Not in Japanese

• 성경 또는 아닙니다 – Bible or Not in Korean

• A Bíblia ou não – Bible or Not in Portuguese

• Библия или не – Bible or Not in Russian

• 聖經 – Bible or Not in Chinese Traditional

• 圣经 – Bible or Not in Chinese Simple

So, no matter how you say “Bible or Not”, or in other words, no matter what language you read your Bible in, it’s the Word of God and we should know it. And we should know the difference between Bible, or not Bible. Like a rose by any other name would smell as sweet, the Bible by any other name would mean as much. And hopefully, Bible or Not by any other name would be as fun.

I just read the whole week’s worth, having been away from the computer for a week. wow, we can actually live without the computer, but it sure isn’t as easy and living with it. of course, we saw computer technology at work all week. with videos made from flip phones and tons of texting, and church facebook pages, etc., all week, so like anything else, it ain’t the tool, it’s the use of the tool.
